Some of the interns! (Me, 3rd from right)
StyleWeek Providence was created, modeled after the Fashion Weeks of New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and other major fashion capitals of the world, to celebrate and showcase the creativity of designers of the Northeast.
I had the opportunity to work as an intern for StyleWeek Providence this past week and was blown away by the amazing local talent. My main responsibility as an intern was working backstage with teh models, transitioning them into their different looks. As a dresser, I was really able to appreciate the clothing on a different level than the majority of people watching the show from their seats. It was so exciting to be able to imerse myself in the energy backstage during these shows. I also enjoyed being able to interact with the designers themselves. Before each show they would brief us on the clothing, and we were able to handle the garments and ask any questions about construction, closures, etc.
Some Highlights from some of my favorite shows
